Children's Social Worker, Assessment Team, HertfordshireRole Overview:Pertemps are seeking a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Children’s Assessment team. As an Assessment Social Worker, you will manage complex and diverse caseloads, delivering first-class support to vulnerable children and families. You will conduct assessments, develop care plans under CIN and CP frameworks, and work collaboratively with families, courts, and partner agencies.Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement care plans that support CIN and CP frameworks.
  • Manage complex caseloads with professionalism and accountability.
  • Contribute to court proceedings, including preparing reports and attending hearings.
  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for children.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using Microsoft IT packages.
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in children and families assessment/safeguarding.
  • Court proceedings experience desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance, policies, and procedures.
  • Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
