We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Specialist Adolescent Service Hub (SASH Team). Responsibilities: As a Social Worker within our SASH Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of adolescents aged 11 to 17 who are at risk of family breakdown, exploitation, gang involvement, or homelessness.
  • Developing and implementing effective care plans in partnership with adolescents, their families, and other professionals.
  • Proactively safeguarding adolescents at risk of exploitation, abuse, or involvement in criminal activities.
  • Coordinating and facilitating support services to enhance the wellbeing and resilience of adolescents and their families.
  • Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to safeguarding and supporting adolescents at risk.
  • Providing tailored support to adolescents involved in the youth justice system, with a focus on preventing offending, rehabilitation, and reintegration into the community.
  • Assisting adolescents aged 16 to 17 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them access essential services.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised social work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience working as a Social Worker within a statutory setting, preferably with adolescents facing complex challenges.
  • A sound understanding of relevant legislation and social work theories.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure with empathy and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for case recording and report writing.
  • A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel is desirable.
