What does the role involve?We've got opportunities for SEND Casework Team Leaders within our School Age Reviews Team, and Resolutions Team.

School Age Reviews

You'll be overseeing EHC Coordinators, who are responsible for Education, Health, and Care Annual Reviews, for school age children. The team focuses on coordinating professionals across education, health and care and coproducing plans and provision with families of school age children.

You’ll support your team to coproduce Education Health and Care plans in a person-centred way, maintaining excellent communication and quality standards. You’ll keep an eye on the data and performance of the team, ensuring that we meet our statutory timescales.

You’ll provide line management and supervision to the team, ensuring that every member of the team delivers our statutory SEND obligations and works to achieve the overall service targets and development plan. You’ll support ongoing professional development, including induction, delivering training, and performance management processes for your team.

You will strive to maintain, develop and improve professional, supportive working relationships with education settings and parents in relation to EHC assessments and plans.

We are looking for you to have:

  • Excellent knowledge of experience of the Children and Families Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice and SEND Regulations 2014.
  • Experience of managing staff and delivering excellent service outcomes in a previous role is strongly desirable
  • Current driving license and access to a car to be able to travel to a range of work bases and schools and this role does require you to be in one of our offices regularly and some countywide travel.
  • Educated to degree level or have significant experience of a range of work within education.
  • Experience of working well under pressure and being extremely well organised
