Deliver Innovative Solutions to Provide an End-to-End Representation of the Weapon System as a Lead Software Developer.This well-established defence company that produces military weapons systems will reward your hard work significantly with bonuses, annual salary reviews and development opportunities among other benefits.You will provide technical leadership and manage projects to develop various synthetic environments using the C family of programming languages.About the Role:• Developing Synthetic Environments: Hands-on development using C programming languages, working with Project Leads and Simulation Architects.• Integrating and Supporting Weapon Systems Development: Combining real products, models, and synthetic environments for visualization, verification, validation, training, and demonstrations across the full product lifecycle.• Driving Technical Innovation: Contributing to the development of new and innovative capabilities, including advanced visualization techniques like AR/VR, to support weapon systems development.About You:• A Lead Software Engineer who is adaptable and creative in their approach to lead a small software development team and advance the technical development of synthetic environments / simulations• A strong background in software (C# and C++), and its realisation and system wide impact, with a robust approach to problem solving• You will have an open approach to software development, as the software you develop can be used across multiple products and projects• Exposure to real-time software development and simulation standards (DIS and HLA) would be advantageousKey Information:• Role: Lead Software Developer (C# and C++)• Salary: Circa £65,000 Depending on Experience • Location: Stevenage – 3-4 Days a Week On-Site • Eligibility: Must hold British Citizenship Due to Security Clearance RequirementsKey Skills:Software development, C#, C++, synthetic environment and simulation development, real-time softwareDue to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens.
