Position Available: C Software Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DoE + Bonus
Experience needed: We are looking for a skilled software engineer with strong experience in writing and developing software in C, ideally in a complex engineering or test development environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver with a passion for high-quality software development and a proven ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

In this role you will be:
- Designing, developing, and supporting test equipment software for testing complex systems and sub-components
- Working with a range of teams and stakeholders across the business to deliver test software from concept to production
- Exploring new implementations and technologies to meet challenging customer requirements
- Driving real change in software development practices both within the test software space and across the wider engineering community
- Embracing agile methodologies to deliver value and achieve a real sense of accomplishment.
- Working in a software engineering lab environment with test equipment and electronic circuitry
What we need from you
- Strong ability to write and develop software in C
- Previous software engineering experience in developing test solutions
- Experience working in an agile development team
- A strong understanding of how to create high-quality software
- Knowledge of automation, continuous integration, and DevOps principles
- Experience with electronics measurement and debugging tools (e.g., DVMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers)
- Understanding of communication and serial interfaces
- Experience with tools like LabWindows CVI or TestStand is an advantage
