We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to support an SEN student, providing assistance and fostering a nurturing learning environment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in special education and a proven track record in similar settings.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-on-one support to an SEN student, ensuring they receive the tailored educational and emotional support they need.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs in collaboration with teachers and other educational professionals.
  • Assist the student with classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and motivated.
  • Help manage any behavioural or learning difficulties effectively, using appropriate strategies.
  • Coordinate and communicate with the teacher to ensure comfortable and productive learning environment

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant supporting SEN students.
  • Understanding of the specific needs associated with various disabilities and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a dedicated approach to student development.
