These schools are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team and help students thrive in their learning journey. SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the clinical and teaching teams to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Assist with teaching activities, ensuring students are engaged and supported in their learning.
  • Provide personal care assistance to students, as needed.
  • Use your initiative to develop and enhance individual learning opportunities for students.
  • Support children with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs in achieving their full potential.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (desired but not essential).
  • A caring, enthusiastic, and proactive individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • A strong team player who can collaborate effectively with teaching staff, support staff, and other professionals.
  • A Psychology or Criminology degree or similar qualification is advantageous.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or the willingness to obtain one.
  • The ability to commute to Stevenage or the local area.
