Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support tailored to the needs of SEN and PMLD pupils.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and specialists to deliver individualized learning plans.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports students' emotional well-being and academic engagement.
  • Assist during lessons, break times, and school activities to ensure inclusivity for all students.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources to enhance the classroom experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEN and/or PMLD pupils is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • Patience, empathy, and the flexibility to adapt to diverse learning needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in Supporting Teaching and Learning (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3) are a plus, but not essential.
  • Flexibility to meet the varied learning challenges of our students.
  • Ability to commute reliably to Stevenage.
  • A full driving license is preferred.
