We're looking for a dedicated, compassionate Part Time/Supply SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEN school in Stevenage. You'll be providing vital support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities, playing a key role in helping students succeed both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support tailored to the needs of SEN and PMLD pupils.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and specialists to deliver individualized learning plans.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that supports students' emotional well-being and academic engagement.
  • Assist during lessons, break times, and school activities to ensure inclusivity for all students.
  • Help prepare learning materials and resources to enhance the classroom experience.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with SEN and/or PMLD pupils is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • Patience, empathy, and the flexibility to adapt to diverse learning needs.
