Reed Tutors, in collaboration with the Hertfordshire Local Authority, is actively seeking dedicated 1:1 SEND Teachers to provide bespoke educational support to children with special educational needs. This role is uniquely flexible, allowing for work in various settings such as the student's home, community centres, or libraries.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Personalised Education: Deliver tailored educational sessions that cater specifically to the needs of SEND students.
- Engagement and Development: Create and implement stimulating activities that promote educational and personal growth.
- Adaptive Environments: Operate effectively across different local settings, ensuring optimal learning conditions.
- Communication: Maintain regular and effective communication with parents, guardians, and educational staff to discuss student progress and adapt learning plans as necessary.
- Professional Standards: Uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and safety during all educational sessions.
- Availability: Provide at least 15 hours of availability during standard school hours each week.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Demonstrable experience in special needs education.
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
- Certifications: Must have a current DBS certificate on the update service.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults.
- Adaptability: Flexible teaching approach to meet the diverse needs of students.
