Guiding global is partnering with a prominent UK Ministry of Defence affiliate, a leader and missile and defence to grow their team overseeing the validation of the external supply chain. This pivotal role ensures timely part delivery crucial for development programmes and full-rate production readiness. We are seeking candidates proficient in manufacturing engineering, quality management, and project delivery to join our client's dynamic team.
What we're looking for:
We are seeking a qualified manufacturing engineer with a robust background in manufacturing processes and techniques, along with a demonstrated ability in project delivery and management. Previous experience in aerospace or defence sectors, especially in manufacturing or supplier quality, is highly advantageous. The role involves assisting suppliers and clients in developing resilient manufacturing systems and control plans to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality products on schedule and within budget. Experience with new project introduction (NPI) and/or manufacturing capability transfer is preferred. Proficiency in industrial validation tools such as process FMEAs, measurement system analysis, process mapping, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and production readiness reviews is essential. Strong problem-solving skills are necessary to conduct root cause analyses and implement improvement plans for manufacturing system deviations within the supplier chain. Excellent communication abilities are critical for fostering effective collaboration across design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams.
What you'll get to do as an Industrial Validation Engineer - (Procurement & Supply Chain):
The role of Industrial Validation Engineer involves managing suppliers, overseeing project industrial validation plans, and ensuring compliance with client requirements. Key responsibilities include assessing supplier capabilities, conducting process FMEAs, and preparing for serious production. The position requires identifying and mitigating manufacturing and supply chain risks, implementing improvements plans, and managing manufacturing capability transfers. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure successful project execution.
