Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an SMT Operator located in Hitchin. The SMT Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines, conducting first-level maintenance, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The SMT Operator should be able to work with minimal supervision, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow standard safety and quality procedures.

Key Skill Sets

Prior experience operating SMT machines and troubleshooting machine issues.
Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and quality inspection techniques
Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) Assembly
Ability to use hand tools and read work instructions, schematics, and drawing diagrams.

· IPC 610 experience is advantageous

· Ability to work from drawings, work instructions and diagrams

· Computer literate

· Ability to hand place SMT components.

· Experience in feeder MC set-up

· Experience in de-kitting
