We are currently recruiting for an experienced Receptionist for a highly reputable and prestigious Stevenage based organisation.

This is a permanent position which is 100% office based.

Working hours: Monday to Friday: 9.00am to 5.00pm, a 35-hour week.

Our client is looking for the successful candidate to start in January 2025.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors in a highly professional manner.
  • Answering the telephone, taking messages and diverting calls.
  • Ensuring all visitors and made welcome.
  • Inputting data and record keeping, including visitor logs and records.
  • Making sure the reception area is always kept tidy.
  • Scheduling appointments and calendar management, booking meeting rooms ensuring conflicts are avoided.
  • Basic IT trouble shooting, ability to handle minor technical issues with office equipment.
  • Coordinating with other teams when required.

Person Specification:

  • Highly professional and well presented.
  • Previous reception or front of house experience.
  • Unflappable nature, able to always work in a calm and diplomatic manner
  • Highly organised and with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Excellent telephone manner, clear and concise communication skills
  • Respectful team player with a high level of integrity.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • IT proficiently in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and Excel.
