Job Role: Catering Lecturer Hourly Rate: £35 Contract Type: Temporary, Full-TimeLocation: HertfordshireAbout the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality teaching to students pursuing catering and hospitality courses, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the culinary industry.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Catering, covering a variety of cooking techniques, food safety, and hospitality management.
- Plan, prepare, and assess lesson plans, practical assignments, and demonstrations to ensure students meet curriculum requirements.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, encouraging their development in both practical and theoretical aspects of catering.
- Contribute to the development and review of course materials to ensure alignment with industry trends and academic standards.
- Foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and success.
Essential Requirements:
- A qualification in Catering, Culinary Arts, or a related field (or equivalent).
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or a commitment to obtaining one.
- Experience working in the catering or hospitality industry, with a strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
- Experience teaching or training in a catering environment, preferably within further education.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
