An opportunity exists for an Engineering Planner to add to our existing Maintenance Department. This is a dayshift-based role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday Friday. You will work as part of a team of 20 employees and report directly to the Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Within this role, you will provide key aspects of technical support in the following areas: equipment availability and product output, continuous improvements, maintenance costs, customer service, training and asset development.

Task management of work allocation, overseeing of work activities for all disciplines (Compliance, quality, cost and time)

Evaluate, monitor and identify equipment availability and use the CMMS to create/update PPM task lists and machine schedule.

Maintaining service contracts and negotiating best price

Dealing with contractors on site and issuing permits

Managing stores process

Planning Engineering activities and events through the CMMS and sharing this information with key stakeholders on site to ensure a seamless plan with minimal interruptions.

Maintaining die strip schedule

Maintaining Screw and Barrel replacement schedule

Planning and scheduling required training and skills development by maintaining the department training matrix.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have a Strong Engineering background.

Engineering related qualification (BEng, BSc desirable) or equivalent experience

Good understanding of engineering procedures and relevant standards

Flexible and adaptable approach to problem solving.

Knowledge of CMMS and PC systems

Good planning skills

Strong Verbal and written communication skills

Negotiation skills advantageous but not essential
