We are currently working with a coeducational day and boarding school for students aged 11 to 18. The school is also known for its strong sense of community and dedication to student welfare, making it an ideal place for both learning and teaching.Hays are seeking a Cover Supervisor to oversee groups or whole classes in the absence of a teacher due to illness, personal reasons, or planned professional development. When not required to cover lessons, you will provide administrative support to meet the needs of the school.Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students and deliver pre-prepared resources in the absence of a teacher
- Promote student engagement and support their progress
- Create a calm and productive learning environment
- Set and maintain high expectations and standards
- Follow school systems to ensure a disruption-free learning environment
- Establish positive relationships with students
Role Details:
- Teach students across the secondary age range
- Deliver lessons using pre-prepared resources across multiple subjects
- Ensure students complete assigned work to the best of their ability

- Excellent communication skills
- Calm, fair, positive, and warm demeanour, with the ability to be firm and assertive when needed
