About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Cable Jointer who is SPEN authorised and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground and overhead cables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical cables in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Effectively use power tools and hand tools to carry out cable jointing tasks.
- Perform welding tasks for cable connections where necessary.
- Dig trenches or holes for cable installation with minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
- Conduct inspections of installed cables to ensure functionality and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Cable Jointer.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and cable jointing techniques.
- SPEN Authorisation.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week.
- Overtime may be required and will be compensated at 1.5 times more than the usual day rate.
- Weekend availability.
