We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar & restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for live music, events, food and drinks. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing staff, ensuring standards, and delivering an outstanding experience for our guests.
Duties
- Supervise all aspects of operations, including staff management and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Lead and motivate a team of professionals, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and growth.
- Oversee stock management, including ordering supplies and managing food production processes to minimise waste.
- Develop and implement training programmes for new staff members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures to achieve operational efficiency.
- Engage with customers to gather feedback and enhance their dining experience while addressing any concerns promptly.

- Working along side student societies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with staff and customers alike.
- Keen interest in live music, DJ's would be desired but not necessary.
