2020 Recruitment are working with an engineering client who are looking to add a QC Inspector to their night shift rotation in Stirling.

This is a temporary position with the contract estimated to last around 4 months.

Please note that this position falls within IR35.

The Role

The QC Inspector shall be inspecting site mechanical works, including welding, final inspections, reviewing reports, reviewing test packs, witness various tests, including pressure leak testing.

As the night shift inspector, you handover to the regular day-shift resident inspector, entire work of the night shift, conveying clearly, any gaps/punch-points/NCRs that require addressal.

Requirements

To be considered for the QC Inspector role you must have the following:

  • Experience within inspections at sites, preferably with well-known EPC companies. Gas plant background preferred.
  • Ability to read isometric and P&ID drawings
  • Experience of monitoring all shift activities including weld fit ups and visual Inspections. ( cswip 3.1 minimum).
  • A good working knowledge of basic trigonometry and the interpretation of drafting symbols.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (Excel, Word etc.)
  • Ability to work as part of the inspection team and on own initiative.
  • Within a commutable distance to Stirling
  • Right to work in the UK
