Our client is looking for an experienced Production Supervisorprevious supervisoryexperience or management of a team/department. This role is a mix of admin, quality checking, peoplemanagement and physically aiding the team to fill oxygen cylinders.
Title: Production Supervisor
Hours: 42.5 per week, Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
Location: Stirling - 5 days a week in person
JOB PURPOSE:
To supervise the production, decon and logistics teams and ensure that their duties are carried
out efficiently and safely.
PRIMARY DUTIES & AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- To communicate with the Supply Chain Manager, Warehouse Manager, Senior Filler and all of the fill team to ensure an efficient and safe operation.
- To represent the Production Dept as and when required covering discussions on sickness, holidays and training.
- Allocation of resources across teams to ensure efficient operations to meet daily production schedule.
- To raise and discuss any issues impacting on safety, production, personal performance, quality and logistics.
- To supervise the filling of Liquid Oxygen storage tanks.
- To ensure that all pre production start up and shutdown checks and procedures are adhered to.
- To ensure that all data is entered into quality system is correct and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, while participating in any production/quality deviation investigations.
- Close liason with quality persons to ensure that all filled products comply with quality procedures and licence agreements.
- To maintain close dialogue with Quality personnel while identifying any cylinders/LOX units or situations which may impact on quality of products and brand name.
- To manage and fulfill any general admin support function relevant to the processing of fill batches and the supervision of personnel.
- To ensure that at all times all personal actions and duties in the different teams are carried out in a safe manner and in compliance with any standing instructions or operations procedure guides while monitoring the actions of others to ensure a safe working environment.
- To liaise with field depot and logistics staff regarding loading and offloading of supply chain vehicles .
- To liaise with warehouse staff to ensure correct products are allocated to designated areas.
- To ensure designated safety checks and audits are carried out within the plant facility.
- To carry out any other general duties as necessary in accordance with requirements of the business.
- To batch document review using Sintesi quality system.
- To control and maintain an efficient facilities maintenance program and preferred suppliers listing.
- To implement and participate in specific ad-hoc projects and reports in relation to the production, maintenance and logistics operations.
- To manage staff leave in accordance with production/ Logistics schedules.
- To participate in all safety activities and initiatives where relevant including presentations and company wide programs coupled with the arranging of maintenance of any safety systems.
- To report any stock shortages.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisor role - Essential
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience off handling liquid oxygen units and high pressure gas filling of cylinders - Desirable
- Experience in a warehouse/filling station environment- Desirable
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good communication skills -Essential
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team-Essential
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Ability to use statistical and other data to produce reports-Essential
- Excellent organisational skills-Essential
- Good problem solving skills-Essential
- Knowlegde of how to use handheld scanning equipment and interpretation of information on digital display units-Desirable
