Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for advising on contract conditions and commercial matters while maintaining accurate financial control systems. Your duties will include:
- Conducting monthly Cost Value Reconciliations
- Maximising valuations, ensuring timely certification and payment
- Managing contract variations effectively
- Forecasting costs and values across all trades
- Working closely with operational teams to secure necessary resources
- Monitoring on-site progress and ensuring adherence to contract procedures
- Vetting quotations for compliance and competitiveness
- Preparing final accounts and managing subcontractor accounts
- Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety policies and the company’s Quality Manual

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be methodical, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have the following qualifications and experience:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying
- Previous experience in civil engineering, particularly in groundworks for housing projects
- NEC contract experience would be advantageous but is not essential; however, you should have experience managing complex forms of contracts
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and COINS
- A full UK driving licence
