An opportunity has arisen to join a busy commercial team, who are working on new build, affordable housing developments that are due to start later this year in the west central belt.

Initially based out of their offices in Stirling, the role will develop from pre-construction to on-site commercial management of these projects. With a significant programme of new work, they are looking to add to their commercial team and would like to invite applications from quantity surveyors who have a build or housing or consultancy background.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction and housing projects.
- Conduct cost analysis and manage project finances.
- Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure the best prices.
- Monitor project progress and control costs to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to stakeholders.
- Assess and manage risks associated with construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure project success.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying, particularly in build and/or housing projects. Consultancy QS's with project experience within affordable housing will also be considered.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in relevant software such as MS Office, COINS, or similar.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
