Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team who are overseeing structural and cladding remediation work on housing projects across the UK . The successful candidate will have extensive experience in concrete frame, fit-out, and remediation projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, providing cost management and quantity surveying expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
- Oversee and manage the financial aspects of concrete frame, fit-out, and remediation projects from inception to completion.
- Prepare, review, and manage project budgets, cost plans, and valuations.
- Provide accurate cost advice and financial reporting to clients and project teams.
- Conduct risk and value management assessments.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules with contractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that costs do not exceed agreed budgets.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
- Manage and resolve any contractual disputes or claims.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to senior management and clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
-  Ideally, professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with significant experience in concrete frame, fit-out, and remediation projects.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full, clean driving license.

The role can be based from home, with a monthly visit to London required and fully recompensed. Alternatively our client has offices in the east and west central belt.
