Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Identify and assess audit risks, and develop appropriate audit strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in legislation to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Assist in business development activities, including networking and client relationship management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Proven experience in audit, within a practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficient in using audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
