Accounts Assistant/Semi Senior Accountant - Stockport Area
A leading firm of chartered certified accountants based in the Stockport area are are looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant or an Accounts Assistant Qualified by experience.
The firm deal with a wide spectrum of clients from sole traders, partnerships to limited companies.
About the Role
As a Semi-Senior accountant/Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strong relationships with your clients. Understand the nature of clients’ businesses and how they operate. Keeping client promises and addressing clients’ questions in a timely manner. Plan monthly jobs in accordance with year ends, Meeting monthly planning targets, Complete Personal Tax Returns for a portfolio of clients in conjunction with the completion of accounts. Must be proficient in cloud-based accounting software.
Completion of accounts to a high standard in accordance with FRS 102 section 1A Software: Iris Accountancy Suite CCH Personal Tax Sage Xero Intuit-quickbooks.
You will also provide support to junior team members.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need to have worked in a similar role for an accountancy practice previously. You will need to be able to work to strict deadlines, be self-motivated and have a good attention to detail. On top of this you should have good Microsoft excel skills and be able to work individually or as part of a team.
