Supplier Quality Engineer

Are you a skilled Quality Engineer with a passion for driving supplier excellence within a highly regulated Manufacturing environment?

Ideal for experienced Quality Professionals working with Supply Chain teams in Fabrication or Manufacturing sectors.

We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer with a strong background in Root Cause Analysis, 8D methodologies, A3, PFMEAs, DFMEAs, APQP, and PPAP, ready to apply their expertise in supporting supplier quality and process improvements in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to develop, implement, and monitor supplier quality assurance processes, enhancing the overall product and supply chain performance.
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis using 8D & A3 methodologies to resolve supplier-related issues and prevent recurrence.
• Review and develop supplier specifications, ensuring they exceed customer and regulatory expectations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers, using Lean, Six Sigma, and other techniques to drive efficiency and quality.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments in line with ISO 9001 standards, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Manage supplier non-conformance issues, working closely with suppliers to implement corrective actions and improve overall quality performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer with Supplier engagement
• Experienced within Manufacturing - Steel Fabrication preferred
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEAs.
• Knowledge of Supply chain processes.

Location: Stockport
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Working Hours: 08:00-16:30 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00-13:00 (Fri)
Salary: 45k - 50k (dependent on experience)
Benefits: 7% Pension Contributions, 4% from candidate, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays.
