The Company

Our client is a well-established company in the Utilities Sector. The company has over 25 years of experience and due to recent contract wins is looking to bring on quality personnel.

The Project

As an experienced Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading all preconstruction activities for the construction of utilities ICP projects across the UK from your remote location. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and preparation phases of EV charging and similar projects. This will include managing the budgets, determining project feasibility, and developing a construction schedule. This is a very senior role within the business reporting directly to the Operations Director and will be a long term freelance role - with potential for a temp to perm for the right candidate.

The role may also include:

  • Communicating and presenting a detailed estimates to Executive Management.
  • Analysing drawings and specifications to evaluate risk and facilitate win strategies.
  • Reviewing and assisting with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for various projects.

Requirements

For this role,it is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;

1. Manage Architect for schemes we are responsible for planning on
2. Manage Adoption Agreements and Bilateral Connection Agreement's with DNO/Client/IDNO, ensure MPAN and meter available prior.
3. POC Applications, manage offers
4. Asset Value requests and acceptance
5. Manage design process with Designer (Subcontract), coordinate TQ's with client
6. Ensure DNO Design queries are followed up in a timely manner, where necessary follow up with DNO Engineer
7. Coordinate construction drawings (ready for issue to delivery team)
8. Coordinate procurement of long lead in items, manage a tracker and update master programme (GRP/Panels/Subs)
9. Chair weekly progress meetings with the client, provide articulate and up to date summary of progress.
