Caretaker - Longsight, Manchester - 13.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
We are recruiting for a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join an education setting in Longsight, Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual looking for a stable, ongoing assignment.
You must hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
About the Role:
As Caretaker, you will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all users.
Key Responsibilities:
- General maintenance and repairs (e.g., minor plumbing, painting, carpentry).
- Cleaning and tidying of internal and external areas.
- Ensuring the security of the building, including locking/unlocking and monitoring CCTV.
- Grounds maintenance (e.g., litter picking, gardening).
- Dealing with deliveries and managing waste disposal.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Caretaker or in a similar role.
- Practical DIY skills and a good understanding of building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and can-do attitude.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
- Ongoing assignment.
