Paraplanning Manager

Annual Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location: Heaton Mersey (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Paraplanning Manager to support our Paraplanning team in delivering high-quality financial planning and advice to both private and corporate clients. This role involves enhancing team performance, refining paraplanning processes, and maintaining effective communication across various departments.

-Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support Paraplanners in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports
  • Assist in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Client Relationship Team, ensuring advice is implemented accurately and compliantly
  • Manage team workflow and ensure delivery against set standards
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships to meet agreed targets
  • Continuously update the Director of Operations and the board on team workload, resource needs, and process improvements
  • Ensure all business activities comply with relevant acts, legal demands, and ethical standards

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent understanding of the financial planning process, including areas like Inheritance Tax Planning, Trusts, Bonds, and higher-risk investments such as EIS/VCT/BPR
  • Proficient in IT with strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ideally experience with Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner, and The Exchange
  • Experience in a Paraplanning role, with management or supervisory experience preferred
  • Professional qualifications at least to Level 4 (CII Diploma in Financial Planning), ideally Chartered with the CII or progressing towards it
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
