My client is currently looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join their firm in Stockport.THE ROLE

  • Supporting Consultants in preparing accurate financial plans and suitability reports.
  • Supporting the Consultants in research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
  • To provide support, where needed, to the Compliance and Technical Manager.
  • Developing and maintaining internal relationships with various areas of the business to meet agreed targets.
  • Continuous professional development to meet regulatory requirements and personal development needs.
  • Managing individual work-flow and delivery.
  • Ensuring that any business conducted is done in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements, both internally and externally.
  • To provide technical guidance to the Client Services assisting with product specific, technical and compliance based queries.

THE CANDIDATE

  • Excellent understanding of the financial planning process.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Experience working in a Paraplanning role.
  • Achieved professional qualifications to at least Level 4 (Diploma in Financial Planning).
  • Experience of defined benefit pension transfers and the use of cash flow forecasts would be highly valued.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Attention to quality, detail and accuracy and getting it right first time.
  • Be able to question colleagues comfortably when the information they have provided is not fully understood or the reasons for advice are unclear.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines.
  • Flexible and able to deal with a multitude of tasks at once, able to prioritise when there are apparent conflicts of time or resource.
  • Client focused; friendly, helpful and considerate to all.
  • Show initiative, being able to motivate & manage oneself and to have a desire to improve and develop.
