This would be an exciting time to join them, as they are looking to grow their business in new directions. The role is very diverse, with a lot of scope to showcase your sales and account management skills. In return, you can expect a competitive salary, independence and opportunity to grow. A technical/mechanical background or interest would be  a huge advantage. The Role of Business Development Manager:
  • Selling our existing range of products and services to industrial sectors including aggregates & powders, distilleries & breweries, food & beverage, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining a strong sales pipeline of new business opportunities in target markets
  • Selling our current products and services to existing and new customers
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, customers, partnerships, products and services
  • Creating and delivering a robust sales plan to meet the company strategy, and working alongside marketing to successfully develop new business opportunities
  • Attending conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners, and stay up to date with new trends, researching new markets and opportunities
  • Collaborating with design and marketing teams to ensure that the client’s requirements are met
To be considered for the role of Business Development Manager:
  • A minimum of 3 years working in a business development environment, including field sales
  • Have a technical background
  • You will need to be organised and self-motivated
  • A team player
  • This is a field based role with periodic visits to the office in Basildon
  • Regular nationwide travel will be required
