Join a thriving retail business in Stockport and lead their marketing efforts as their eCommerce Manager! This is a hands-on role where you'll have a real impact on the company's growth. Our client, conveniently located near Manchester with excellent transport links (bus, rail, M60), has established a strong presence in the retail industry and is now looking for a talented, commercially minded individual to drive their online sales.

About the Role:

You'll be responsible for the entire marketing function, managing a robust budget and developing the marketing strategy. Crucially, you'll focus on optimising the customer journey through the sales funnel using the latest best practices. This all-around marketing role requires a strong eCommerce background, a digital-first approach, and the ability to hit the ground running. The right person for this role will have proven experience with delivering retail growth and can show examples of driving profit in a commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a multi-channel digital strategy focused on brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Manage paid search/social campaigns, ensuring alignment with the overall digital strategy.
  • Implement an SEO strategy to improve rankings, traffic, and conversions.
  • Optimise website content for SEO.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify opportunities.
  • Analyse website performance, using a data-driven approach to inform decisions and maximise ROI.
  • Oversee the marketing budget.
  • Manage and develop a small team.
  • Track KPIs and report findings to stakeholders.
  • A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation

Requirements:

  • Magento 2 Platform experience is essential
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a multi-channel digital marketing role, with a focus on acquisition/performance marketing.
  • Essential: Experience within a D2C retail brand.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing effective digital strategies.
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience managing agencies or freelancers.
  • Line management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
  • Experience with marketing tools like GA/GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Ads/Meta Ads.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current marketing best practices.

The Ideal Candidate:

Will be commercially focused, demonstrating a track record of driving growth and profitability. Experience in a profitable business is highly desirable. You will be up-to-date with the latest digital trends and be able to demonstrate career progression. Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimisation is essential.
