Account Handler (Progression to Leadership Position)

NJR Recruitment is thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic, independent brokerage in the South Manchester/Stockport area. We are seeking an ambitious Account Handler to manage SME Commercial clients and embark on a clear path to becoming the Head of SME.

Role Overview:

In the Account Handler role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of SME and commercial clients, providing expert advice on tailored insurance products and services. With a structured progression plan, you'll develop your leadership skills and eventually step into the Head of SME position. Prior supervisory experience isn't required; what matters most is your energy, eagerness to learn, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of SME and commercial clients, offering expert insurance advice tailored to their business needs.
  • Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships, deeply understanding their business objectives.
  • Efficiently handle new business enquiries, renewals, and midterm adjustments.
  • Create detailed reports, proposals, and contract renewals for client presentations.
  • Secure favourable terms for clients by negotiating with insurers to ensure optimal coverage.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Solid experience in commercial insurance broking with comprehensive product knowledge.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and insurer negotiations, including claims handling.
  • Excellent communication abilities to foster strong stakeholder relationships.
  • A desire to progress in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail and familiarity with Acturis.
