Elevation Recruitment Group is representing a leader in the oil and gas industry, seeking skilled CNC Milling Machinists for their Stockport site.
Location: StockportShifts: Days OR NightsSalary: £39,000–£40,000 (plus 33% shift allowance for night shifts)Hours: 40 hours per week
Role Overview:As a CNC Machinist, you will:
- Set and operate CNC Mill-Turn machines to produce components from engineering drawings.
- Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Inspect your own work for precision and accuracy.
- Perform preventative and general maintenance checks.
- Produce components to required standards efficiently and within deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Demonstrate excellent timekeeping, attendance, and a strong work ethic.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Skilled in setting and operating CNC Mill-Turn machines.
- Experienced in editing and proving out CNC programs.
- Competent in using a range of measuring equipment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- A proactive team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
- Self-motivated and committed to high standards of workmanship.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating CNC machines.
- Apprenticeship trained or time-served in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with Fanuc or Mazatrol controls is highly desirable.
