Elevation Recruitment Group is representing a leader in the oil and gas industry, seeking skilled CNC Milling Machinists for their Bredbury site. Location: Bredbury SK6 Shift: Days, 07:00-16:00 Monday-Thursday, 07:00-13:00 Friday Salary: £36,000-£37,000Role Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating 5 axis CNC Milling machines to manufacture parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and operate 5-axis CNC Milling machines.
- Produce components from engineering drawings.
- Inspect own work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform preventative and general maintenance checks.
- Ensure all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislations are followed.
Requirements:
- Experience in the oil and gas industries is preferred but not essential.
- Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC machines.
- Apprentice trained or similar qualifications.
- Experience with Fanuc systems, ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, set and operate CNC Milling machines, and edit CNC programs.
- Ability to produce components to correct standards in a timely manner.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping and follow the 5S program.
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance, attention to detail, strong team player, and a positive attitude.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment such as micrometres and verniers.
- Understanding of geometrical tolerances.
