Our client, a leader in the energy and engineering sector, is seeking a Design Manager with a background in energy and engineering.
The role involves managing design deliverables for energy projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and technical requirements.
Candidates should have a degree or HND/C Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
The position offers a permanent salary dependent on experience, along with benefits such as enhanced pension contributions and private healthcare.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:30 to 16:00, based in Stockport.

Overseeing the daily operations of the design department, including Electrical, Mechanical Engineers, and CAD Technicians.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to plan and meet design deadlines.
Developing and refining design processes and standards for combined heat and power systems and other technologies.
Ensuring the design meets contractual and safety requirements, including technical assessments and material selection.
Providing technical support and troubleshoot during project installation, commissioning, and operation phases.

Design ManagerEssential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

Degree or HND/C Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline with relevant experience in power generation or process engineering.
Proven leadership in managing design engineering teams.
Experience with CDM, health & safety, and process engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Valid driving license.
