We're hiring for an Industrial Painter to join an engineering company based in Hazel Grove, Stockport, who specialise in the design and manufacturing of high-quality metal products for a wide range of industries.
What’s on offer?
- £13.00 - £15.00 per hour
- Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm (40 hours)
- Good overtime rates
- Training available (in-house & external)
- Progression opportunities to Welding and Fabricating
What will you be doing as an Industrial Painter?
- Preparing metal surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure that the paint adheres properly and provides a smooth finish
- Applying paint using various methods such as spraying, brushing, or rolling, to achieve the desired finish and colour for the metalwork
- Working closely with other trades, such as metal fabricators and welders, to ensure that their work is coordinated and completed in the correct sequence
- Inspecting painted surfaces to ensure that they meet the required quality standards, and making any necessary touch-ups or corrections
What do you need?
- Previous painting/brushwork experience
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work
- Metalwork / finishing / fettling experience would be an advantage
- CSCS card and/or site based experience would be beneficial
