The Role: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic School Food Technician to join our client school in Stockport. As a key member of the catering team, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff. Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with dietary requirements and health and safety regulations
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborating with the catering team to develop innovative and appealing menu options that meet the nutritional needs of students
- Serving meals to students and staff in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring excellent customer service at all times
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and inventory management to ensure sufficient supplies are available
- Supporting the catering manager with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and compliance documentation
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a school or commercial kitchen environment is desirable

- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
