We are recruiting for a full or part qualified Paraplanner to join an established and successful Practice of St. James’s Place Wealth (SJP) Management based in Stockport, Cheshire (SK6 4)

Role overview

This is an opportunity to join am established wealth management practices In Cheshire.

Working as part of a team, the Paraplanner will be supporting Wealth Managers in delivering a first-class service to their clients. The role will involve the preparation of suitability reports for advisers and supporting paraplanning duties. Your attention to detail and technical skills will allow you to process information effectively and accurately, whilst displaying a professional attitude at all times.

Role content

The Paraplanner role will compile of a mix of Technical and Administrative duties including (but not exclusively) the following:

  • Preparation of Suitability Reports for Advisers to summarise the outcome of client review meetings
  • Maintain the Quality of Documentation standards set out by the company
  • Collate, evaluate and process information received (both internal and external)
  • Perform critical yield calculations to determine plan viability
  • Create illustrations in line with Adviser recommendations
  • High level liaison between providers and clients where necessary
  • Carry out technical research on existing and newly recommended products, along with fund research where required.
  • Liaising with product providers and third parties ensure effective communications between all parties
  • General supporting administration

Person requirements

  • Previous experience of working within professional or financial services sector, ideally within a paraplanning or financial advisory role in the past.
  • Part or full Diploma Level 4 qualification in paraplanning or financial planning (DipPFS or equivalent) or qualified via experience.
  • SJP experience highly advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong technical skills
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Articulate, numerate and able to maintain the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Able to work under pressure and meet specific time deadlines
  • Strong team player with a can-do attitude towards the daily challenges of a busy practice
  • Strong technical / analytical skills
  • Highly numerate (maths skills)

Technical Experience

  • Experience in Salesforce, Voyant, FE Analytics, iBusiness - all highly advantageous (but not essential)
  • High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Additional information

  • Salary: £30-40K (depending on experience and qualifications)
  • Office location: Stockport, Cheshire
  • Role: Office based during initial probationary and embedding period - option of hybrid 1 / 2 days a week from home thereafter if required.
  • Hours of work: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (30 mins lunch) - 37.5 hours a week
  • Holiday entitlement: 25 days per annum, plus bank holidays
