Level 3 Teaching Assistant Role in Stockport SEN School

On behalf of a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Stockport, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting the social and emotional well-being of students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
