Position: Teaching AssistantLocation: SK5, Reddish, StockportStart Date: ASAPHours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (45-minute lunch break)Salary: £12.83 - £14.54 per hour
Reeson Education is working with a welcoming primary school in the SK5, Reddish area of Stockport to find a Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Foundation Stage team. This Teaching Assistant role is full-time and long-term, offering a fantastic opportunity to support young learners in their crucial first years of education.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting EYFS pupils with their learning and development in a nurturing environment
- Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Encouraging children's social and communication skills through play-based learning
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils who need extra help
- Helping children with ASD, speech and language needs, and sensory processing difficulties
- Creating a positive and engaging learning space where children feel safe and valued
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:
- Passion for working with young children in an EYFS setting
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school is beneficial but not essential
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
- Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning
- Ability to work well as part of a team and support the class teacher
