Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: SK6Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to FridaySalary: £12.83 - £14.54 per hourStart Date: ASAP
Reeson Education is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and specialist SEN school in the Stockport area. This is an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11 to 16 with SEMH, ASD, and ADHD, helping them to engage with learning in a structured and nurturing environment.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with pupils aged 11-16 as a Teaching Assistant, supporting their educational and emotional development.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that suit individual needs and EHCPs.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support, encouraging engagement and confidence.
- Foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment where pupils feel heard and understood.
- Support students in developing key life skills alongside academic learning.
- Use your sports coaching experience (if applicable) to enhance lessons, helping pupils to develop teamwork, confidence, and resilience.

Teaching Assistant Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or supporting young people with SEMH, ASD, or ADHD (preferred but not essential).

- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with pupils.
- Experience in sports coaching or physical education is advantageous but not essential.
- A commitment to a full-time, long-term role in a specialist school setting.
