INTRODUCTION Butler Rose Public Practice Northern division are delighted to be working with a reputable, independent firm of chartered Accountants based in the Stockport area currently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts / Tax Manager. You will be part of a team of highly experienced, friendly staff that tailor their services to meet their clients individual needs. They work with a range of businesses from sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and directors. As an accountancy firm they offer solutions for all their clients accounting needs, from bookkeeping and statutory accounts to business planning, tax consulting, VAT and payroll administration. They provide practical and ongoing support in line with their clients individual needs. No size fits all. As well as completing accounts they also focus on improving business performance and assist in the achievement of their clients business and personal goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES As Accounts/ Tax Manager, you will gain responsibility for a portfolio of clients as well as being allocated work on a regular basis. You will have contact with clients via phone, email and Zoom and from time to time be responsible for holding client meetings either at the client's premises or at the office. Your typical daily duties will include: -Preparation of statutory accounts for small to medium sized Limited Companies including corporation tax computations -Preparation of unaudited accounts for sole traders and partnerships -Preparation of self-assessment tax returns -Liaising with HMRC in relation to client queries PERSON SPECIFICATION To be considered for the role of Accounts/ Tax Manager you will have the following skills and attributes: -Excellent organisational abilities -Great attention to detail -Able to manage a portfolio of clients -Competent in producing statutory accounts using FRS102 and FRS105 -Confident with clients and able to work alone at client premises -Maintain objectivity, independence and integrity at all times -Be an ambassador for the firm and maintain client relationships QUALIFICATIONS: -AAT, ACA, ACCA, or QBE -3 years practice experience essential SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE: -Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and familiarity with online computer software including: Xero, QuickBooks and Sage -Knowledge of Sage Accounts would be an advantage Do you have the passion and desire to succeed!
