This role will oversee all financial operations, financial control, budgeting, compliance and strategic planning. The successful candidate will work closely with the SLT and CEO, acting as a sounding board. This is a hands on, fluid role where no two days will be the same. Location: Stockport (Hybrid) plus travel to various sites
Responsibilities:
* Cashflow monitoring and management, ensuring strong cost control
* Oversight of AR, AP & Payroll
* Development and implementation of robust processes and controls
* Lead the budgeting process, closely monitoring performance vs budget. Supporting department heads to understand individual budgets and financial performance
* Development of KPIs to measure financial performance
* Ensuring compliance with audit, accounting and tax regulations
* Oversight of M&A activity from a financial perspective
Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Experience in a PE backed business
* Strong systems experience
* Financial modelling experience
* Experience working with local authorities would be a bonus
* Corporate Finance/M&A experience would be beneficial
