We have an exceptional opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to join an international services group in Stockport.

The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of the statutory reporting for the UK division for consolidation purposes
  • Management of the annual external audit, co-ordinating the audit deliverables required from internal teams to ensure timely delivery to the auditors
  • Preparation of the impairment assessment for the UK group and presentation to external auditors
  • Key contact for corporation tax advisors, taking responsibility for co-ordinating the production of corporation tax calculations and payments
  • Manage relationships with third party providers and HMRC in relation to tax queries and pension liabilities
  • Liaise with auditors to provide support and advice to the UK business in developing accounting and tax positions for new market initiatives
  • Working with third party providers on high profile projects 
  • Manage the submission of quarterly VAT returns
  • Lead on a number of group initiatives identifying areas for improvement within the current financial control environment

The person

ACA or ACCA qualified finance professional from a practice background preferable

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

A proven project management skillset

Proven influencing and negotiation skills in working with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Ability to manage and prioritise multiple and competing priorities

Previous experience of pension schemes would be an advantage
