IFA Administrator

Location: Heaton Mersey

Salary: £28,000 - £31,000

We are seeking an experienced IFA Administrator with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IFA practice, to provide first-class customer service and administrative support. The role involves managing a bank of consultants and their clients, processing various financial transactions, and ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage a bank of consultants and their clients, providing excellent customer service and administrative support
  • Process transfers, top-ups, withdrawals, income, contributions, fund switches, Bed & ISA, and protection accurately and through to completion
  • Understand third-party providers’ platforms and processing times
  • Manage individual workload using a personal diary system on Client Management to ensure timely completion of tasks
  • Investigate and handle any client/consultant queries
  • Manage post relating to new business cases
  • Handle client/provider queries over the phone and via email
  • Maintain client records on the back-office system
  • Cover receptionist duties, including managing post, phone calls, greeting clients, and dealing with third-party suppliers
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working for an IFA practice
  • Experience and understanding of pension and investment products
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the initiative to take on tasks
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Experience with Intelligent Office (IO) would be desirable
