We are seeking a talented and driven individual to work for a leading, BRC AA+ awarded innovative herbs and spices importer/ exporter and manufacturer.
Supplying predominantly to further food manufacturing, this well-established and successful business prides itself on providing exceptional customer service and premium quality products
Your role will be to provide technical support by liaising regularly with both suppliers and customers on technical requirements. Which aids the support the Technical department in the management of the compliance, systems, food safety culture, providing governance of food safety, quality, process, legal and customer requirements.
We are looking for a highly motivated person who is task-focused, has a positive outlook and is a good communicator with great attention to detail.
This role would suit someone looking for new challenges and opportunities in a fast-moving company.

Responsibilities

Promote and maintain high standards of food safety culture, promote and challenge site GMP standards including Technical, Food Safety, Quality, Compliance and Business values.

Compile product specifications, review and update as required.

Assist in the development/maintenance of company policies in line with new legislation, customer requirements and company standards.

Support the Technical department and site with document creation and review which may include records, procedures, and communication boards.

Management of Organic, Valid IT and Sedex Certification.

Ensure products are made within specification and micro standards, are legally compliant and fit for human consumption.

Keep abreast of legislation to ensure company compliance and communicate any changes internally.

Ensure new products are analyzed according to requirements

Completion of Quality Attribute sheets and any other technical documentation required by the customer within the agreed timescale.

Support customer complaint investigation.

Attend customer visits when required.

GMP/Fabrication audits

Requirements

Good technical experience from the food manufacturing industry or other relevant experience where skills may cross over

Ideally educated to a degree or HND level in food science, food technology, nutrition, or a related subject.

ideally qualified to a minimum of Level 2 Food Safety and HACCP.

Internal auditing experience preferred

Computer literate and have excellent organization skills.

Full, clean UK Driving Licence.
