Category Buyer - Facilities Stockport £32,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

Who you'll be working for:

Cast UK are looking to recruit an exciting Category Buyer for our client, who is a FTSE 250 national name with sites across the UK. Reporting into the Category Manager you'll play an important role in managing indirect spend, covering various aspects of the business. You will work Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to work from home on Monday and Fridays.

What will the role involve?

  • Leading negotiations with Facilities suppliers to agree pricing and contractual terms
  • Agreeing supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks
  • Delivering cost-saving initiatives by analysing market trends and conducting cost-benefit analysis to optimise procurement decisions
  • Developing positive relationships with key suppliers, addressing any issues related to quality, service delivery, or contractual compliance
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams across the business to understand stakeholder requirements and ensure procurement strategies align with business objectives

What experience will you ideally have?

  • 2 years' experience in a procurement role
  • Relevant category experience (facilities management / site services)
  • Confident negotiation and influencing skills
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings and added value
  • CIPS desirable but not essential
