£17.74 - £25.34 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Stockport (SK6).

Rates of Pay

• Monday – Saturday £17.74 per hour
• Sunday £25.34 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• 1-5 RDC Deliveries per shift
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
• Must be flexible on working days (working any 4-5 days out of 7)

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence (CLASS 1)
• Have a minimum of six months experience driving a C+E vehicles
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
• Previous experience in multidrop experience will be beneficial

Training

• Driving Assessment will need to be completed before starting this role.
