VTA Recruitment Ltd are working on behalf of a locally managed service provider in recruiting a driver to join their streetcare team.
Our client is a market-leading waste management company working on behalf of Stockport council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Johnston 651 Large Mechanical Sweeper or similar for street cleansing activities.
- Conduct street cleaning tasks as directed, ensuring the streets of Stockport are maintained to a high standard.
- Safely and efficiently drive the sweeper vehicle across designated routes in Stockport.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while operating the vehicle and equipment.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum C (HGV) Driving Licence: You must possess a valid HGV (Category C) driving licence.
- Tachocard: You must have a Tachocard or be prepared to apply for one if successful.
- Driver CPC: A valid and up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in driving or operating a Johnston 651 Large Mechanical Sweeper or similar machinery.
- Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the road network and streets within Stockport is advantageous.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 6:15 AM 2:24 PM.
- 38.25 hours per week.
Rate of Pay:
- £13.69 per hour
